It happened</title><content type='html'>Last week we had our first Chinese Camp.  Our teacher Lu Yao did some amazing things with the kids that got them very interested in the Chinese Language and Culture.  Kids played traditional Chinese games, learned to write their name in calligraphy, conducted a mini Olympics in Chinese, experienced food, understood their zodiac sign and learned about the culture and the geography of China.   Not to mention all of the Chinese words, phrases and songs they drilled each day. Start them when they are young. It is easier to make language and culture a part of their rountine when their brain is acquisited for it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Get to know people of different cultures.  Children begin to appreciate cultural differenceswhen someone they admire comes from a different background then their own.
